During May and June 2025, the director of the ACTIBESE project, Dr. Fernando Rodríguez, carried out a research stay at the Behavioural Medicine Lab at the University of Victoria, Canada. This visit served to strengthen the scientific collaboration previously established with Dr. Ryan Rhodes, who is internationally recognized as one of the leading researchers in the fields of physical activity, family dynamics, and parental relationships.

Dr. Rhodes’ extensive experience and expertise in the design and implementation of intervention strategies have been highly valuable in enriching and consolidating key components of the ongoing Fondecyt project. As a result of this international partnership, several scientific articles are currently being developed within this line of research. In addition, meaningful academic connections were established with postdoctoral fellows Carol Brennan (Ireland) and Alfred Lee (Hong Kong).

Furthermore, Dr. Rhodes is expected to visit Chile in 2026 to participate in the final activities of the ACTIBESE project, further reinforcing the academic collaboration between both teams.
